The chief aim of the School is to enable individuals to know and develop to the fullest, their physical, mental, social, moral and spiritual potentialities based on the principles of Christian faith so that they can function as responsible members of the society.

Its service is to promote patriotism, spirit of national integration, pride in our cultural heritage and a scientific outlook. Fellowship, team spirit, service and dignity of labour is given its importance along with intellectual pursuits.

The School is recognised by Assam Board of Secondary Education and the students are prepared for the Higher Secondary Education Council Exam. The medium of instruction is English. The syllabus prescribed by the Board is followed. Christian Doctrine is taught to develop the moral and spiritual values in the children. Physical education is compulsory for all to build up a healthy mind and body.

Prayer occupies an important place in the school. As the institution belongs to the Catholic Church only Catholic worship is permitted.

From Principal's Desk

“You are the Light for the Whole World. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a bowl; instead he puts it on the lampstand, where it gives light for everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine before people, so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in Heaven.”

Holy Cross H.S School, Silchar, standing by the National Highway 54, is a premier Educational Institution in the North East. For more than five decades, the school has exhibited relentless academic endeavour and brilliance so as to become one of the most sought after educational Institution in the Barak Valley.
